The Week Ahead

Thursday's Belgian Supper

I am really looking forward to this coming week at The Prince.

Although The Players are still proving difficult to tie down and agree a date to start rehearsals of our new production (usually on Monday’s), we have put aside our plans to stage Scrooge, in flavour of Cludeo, the musical  whodunnitwithwhatwhere murder mystery. If you want to join in, you would be most welcome. Big part, small part or stage crew, give it a go and you will find it’s great fun.

Tuesday sees the start of POW WOW, our new writers’ group. ‘It’s a pity I will not make this inaugural session as I’m off tasting beer at Brum’s finest restaurant Simpsons, but I will be at every single session thereafter!

Wednesday sees the Cocktail Lounge putting on a Caribbean Special, with music and drinks to match. Pina Colada, Daiquiri, Cuban Master and every drink that was ever drunk “underneath the mango tree” will be on offer.

Now last time we did our Belgian Supper, some folks missed out. It was very popular as it’s a great deal! So if you fancy Mussels, in a choice of two delicious sauces, served with crusty bread and a Belgian Beer, come along with your fiver at 8pm this Thursday. Yes just £5! No need to book, but it is first come, first serve and we will sell out.

Now that just leaves next weekend.

Evelyn Waugh said … “the most futile and disastrous day seems well spent when it is reviewed through the blue, fragrant smoke of a Havana Cigar”. Well no matter what sort of Sunday you have next week, make it a Cigar Sunday! If you have ever fancied smoking proper cigars, then now’s your chance. Just buy a double deluxe spirit (rum, whisky, cognac) and I will help you choose a cigar on the house.  From 9pm next Sunday.
So there you have it! Another fun packed week at The Prince.
